When I saw the trailer for this movie, I was in the middle of Heroes' season 2. And after witnessing an piece of excellence as season 1 (and 2 for that matter in a way too) of that TV-show, this movie-trailer felt like a big rip-off of the show. And after seeing the full movie, it confirmed my feelings. This movie deals with "super-heroes" in the same way Heroes did at first, but in an extremely messy and confusing way. In my opinion they tried to put and do a lot in one movie, but fell down to an overload of information and plot-holes. There are several mistakes present in the story of this movie and it doesn't surprise me that this movie didn't do well at the box-office. I didn't feel a bond with any of the characters and by the end I was just hoping it would end. The running-time of 111 minutes is way too long.
This is excellent stuff for adolescents and is top in the B-movie category. I'm sure it will do fine on the DVD-rental market for those naive enough to pick it up without knowing what they're bringing home. One positive note about the camera-work and the use of colour. Nice!
