It's taken a while for us to see this movie, but my wife earlier this week mentioned to me that she wanted to see this title. Why? Well, because she heard a lot about it recently... (hype!)
Therefore we sat down and we enjoyed it. I read the book when I was a little kid and didn't remember a lot about the story, so the movie had some surprises ready for me. But on the other side the story was told sssslllloooowwwwly and the characters are pretty pale. Every time I saw Michiel (the main character) on screen, I started remembering Anthony Michael Hall.
No masterpiece, but recommended for older kids who want to feel some youthful excitement.
