Sept Germes Cristallins schreef ik in 2008 op verzoek van Deus Ex Machina voor het themanummer over Paul Valéry's Cahiers. Het stuk zet, woord voor woord, de volgende tekst:


Analogie Mémoire -

Solution *sursaturée*. Il faut un germe cristallin pour cristalliser brusquement le tout et ceci indéfiniment - le corps redevient liquide - ou encore variation brusque du niveau d'un liquide qui revient à un étage inférieur et remonte.
Oscillations?- inertie - viscosité -


waarbij zeven maal een woord gezet wordt als wat ik een "kristalijnen canon" noem. Het stuk werd uitgevoerd in New York City op 30 october 2009 door ensemble Lunatics At Large, en de opname van die première is hier te beluisteren.
