Two links today to draw attention to the supreme nuttiness currently sweeping America:
Firstly, the case of the prominent Republican magazine Newsmax calling for military coup in the United States that has caused some stir in the blogosphere yesterday. MediaMatters has more details.
And to compliment (?) that, another example of an Objectivist nut (Howard S. Katz) that does not know his left from his right. The best quote comes from the last paragraph:
… the time has come for every adult male in the U.S. to own a gun. Own it and know how to use it. I also expect that this includes adult females. Our social code of respect for others is breaking down, and it is hard to predict the exact events of the future. Of course, the Nazis hope that everyone will walk quietly and peacefully into their ovens, but I hope that the American people have more spunk than that.
Note how he carries his misogyny over into his Nazi vs Real American comparison as well: Nazi’s are girly and “walk quietly and peacefully into their ovens”, while Americans “have more spunk than that”.
Somehow Igor Panarin's forecast about the dissolution of America in 2010 does not seem so far-fetched anymore.
