Ongeveer een week geleden stuurde McAfee, maker van antivirus-software, een alarmerend persbericht de wereld in: ook de Mac wordt gevoelig voor virussen. Dat is redelijk spectactulair nieuws, want ik ken best wel wat Mac-gebruikers en geen enkele bezitter van zo'n computer gebruikt antivirussoftware. Ik ken ook geen verhalen van besmette Macs. Een van mijn computers staat zo'n beetje dag en nacht online, onbeschermd - en nog nooit één probleem. Dus..
Het bleek -gelukkig- vals alarm. Met de nadruk op vals, want de verzender had het bericht vol
zou's en
mogelijk 's en
ooit's opgesteld om nu eindelijk eens wat antivirussoftware te verkopen. Of dat nou terecht is of niet.
