A new advertainmentsite from Oxfam UK: Bit Unfair.
Game is about the world poverty issue. In most games you have to build your skills to win. In this game it's easier, if you're rich you win, if you're poor you don't.
Game is developed by Draft London.

Bit Unfair is part of the Oxfam campaign I'm in. I’m in is a community of people who share the belief that poverty is an injustice which can be overcome and care enough to want to do something about it. A movement of people pushing in the same direction and working with Oxfam to reach the same goal.

For three weeks, from 14 March to 4 April, Oxfam is offering you the chance to see your name up in lights, using a giant interactive ‘laser’ projection on the side of the Royal Scottish Academy in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. (I think it's only for UK citizens).

I missed this one at my post about the Asia Pacific Advertising Festival. This one got bronze for Campaign Execution for Innovation use of non-conventional outdoor media.
Trikaya Grey Advertising made this great adhesives for ChildCare India.
I didn't found any website of this organisation (anyone?).
Beggar children images put up on the doors of shopping, mails, and other public places.
Copy: Push him out of begging and not out of your way.
It's clear what's that all about.

Leo Burnett has devised and developed this campaign, which it then proposed to homeless charity Shelter and the upmarket real estate agent Douglas & Gordon.
House buyers browsing in the window of upmarket estate agents Douglas & Gordon will be confronted with appalling pictures of genuine dilapidated and dangerous housing that thousands of families live in across the capital. As well as the shocking images, the ads contain statistics about the terrible living conditions that over 1m children across the UK face every day.

The homeless charity Shelter have formed successful partnerships with some of the UK's leading companies.

They have already won most of the advertising awards, feel themself at home in New York, Berlin and Amsterdam. They carry most expensive clothing, drink (and sniff sometimes), are creative, loaded and arrogant. They have humour and no recent development escapes them: Victor (33) and Ben (35) are the successful ART & COPY duo of the prestigious FHTB-WGA (...) advertising agency. For no less than 1150 euro per hour they change one's mind, no mather which product. They decide to do what has succeeded no one else: put Africa on the map. This all about idealism. Okay, it will be nice on their portfolio and it will be a nice holiday too.

This is how the story begins and of course it's going to end a bit different.

Palazinna Productions is making 'Ontwikkelingssamenwerking the movie' this year. You can watch the trailer on their website (in dutch).
Ontwikkelingssamenwerking is the dutch word for helping developing countries.

The images above are from Samu Social, one of the nominees (public service/social welfare) at the 7th edition of the AdPrint festival in Brasov, Romania.

Samu Social is an French-based organisation for helping homeless people. The pricewinning ads comes from the Romanian department.
I don't speak any Romanian but it is obvious that donations are asked.

The images below are from Hogar de Cristo, Unicef and Help the Homeless.com.

Hogar de Cristo is based in Chile and their task is to provide an integral and dignified harbor to children, young people and families.
The text on the trashbin gives a menu which you don't want to eat unless you're very hungry.

The work of Unicef is well known.

Een dak voor Uruguay

Wij maken ons druk om een paar copulerende presidenten. Inderdaad Marco sex sells, dat merkte ik ook weer vandaag. De bezoekcijfers schoten omhoog.

Aan de andere kant van de wereld hebben ze wel wat anders aan hun hoofd. Een dak daarboven, daar is behoefte aan. Niet erg sexy.
Ik ga hier geen stichtelijk verhaal houden, de beelden spreken voor zich.
In een aantal landen in Zuid-Amerika zijn organisaties actief die proberen de armsten een simpele huisvesting te geven waaronder in Uruguay: Un Techo para Uruguay.
In Uruguay staan nu op verschillende plaatsen deze beelden (foto's boven) met als titel 'Que la pobreza sea parte de nuestro pasado', 'laat armoede een deel van ons verleden zijn'.
Er leven in Uruguay 142.000 mensen op straat, zo'n 37.000 'huizen' bestaan uit een paar golfplaten en karton.
