The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia Canada (&lt;a href="http://www.icbc.com/" target="_blank"&gt;ICBC&lt;/a&gt;) started a new campaign recently: It's no fun if you're dead.&lt;br /&gt;
Although the ICBC is not a 100% nonprofit organisation, I think it's good that the businessworld take responsibilty.&lt;br /&gt;
I'm going to post more about this responsibilty in the future.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Going to the movies isn't fun when your date is dead. This is the bold approach behind It's no fun if you're dead — ICBC's new road safety campaign targeting youth aged 18 to 21.&lt;br /&gt;
In 2004, car crashes in B.C. killed 44 youth aged 18 to 21 and injured more than 7,500. Car crashes remain the number one killer of youth, and a leading cause of accidental death for all age groups. ICBC is committed to countering this trend.&lt;br /&gt;
The 2006 youth campaign, launched March 3, is centred on an interactive website, &lt;a href="http://www.nofunbeingdead.com/" target="_blank"&gt;www.nofunbeingdead.com&lt;/a&gt;. Designed to engage and educate, the website presents the grim consequences of inappropriate driving behaviour, in a youth-focused manner.&lt;br /&gt;
"Youth are bombarded with messages from all fronts. To cut through the clutter, ICBC wanted a message that was edgy and attention-grabbing," said Laurie Baker, manager of provincial loss prevention.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
It's obvious that this campaign is meant for young drivers, looking in that perspective the communication is very well done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

It's a common sight to see flower sellers at traffic signals in Mumbai. During the season leading to Christmas and New Year, for about three weeks, wreaths were given to these flower sellers to display them along with their flowers and bouquets as they approached cars stopped at traffic signals.&lt;br /&gt;

Playing a film backwards is an common used technique. Using it in these tv-spots is very obvious.&lt;br /&gt;
It lets you see how a traffic accident begins.&lt;br /&gt;

The same technique is used in 'Lucky' made by &lt;a href="http://www.amvbbdo.co.uk/" target="_blank"&gt;Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO&lt;/a&gt; for the &lt;a href="http://www.thinkroadsafety.gov.uk/campaigns/slowdown/ruralspeed.htm" target="_blank"&gt;UK Department for Transport&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
The campaign tells that it really make a difference when you limt your speed.&lt;br /&gt;
I like the Danish campaign more because it's less artificial then the UK one.&lt;br /&gt;
