An EU-funded research project on FLOSS policy support has published the results of its web-based survey. 98.8% of the respondents reported their gender as male. Another web-based survey, on FLOSS developers in Asia, reports that 98.5% of its respondents are male.

Women'sNet in South Africa organised in 2004 a workshop on FLOSS for women's organisations. I wonder if that was a first. But what are the feminist perspectives on FLOSS? There isn't much written about it yet. I will try to collect whatever I can find in the links section under FLOSS/gender.
