Ik dacht ook dat objectiviteit het hoogste doel van een verslaggever hoorde te zijn. Kabouter Zeiksnor had z'n objectiviteit volgens mij al eerder bij de vuilnis gezet....

Die grens ligt natuurlijk heel moeilijk. Natuurlijk heb je als journalist ook een politieke mening, weliswaar minder sterk als in de tijd dat de verzuiling nog in volle omvang bestond. Het is onvermijdelijk dat die overtuiging jouw verslaggeving in enige mate ook kleurt. Door objectiviteit na te streven moet je dat wel zoveel mogelijk proberen te vermijden. Zelfs als je in een politieke partij actief bent kun je volgens mij gewoon een goed journalist zijn.

Wanneer je je snuit echter als boegbeeld verbindt aan een partij (zeker als die partij ook nog je initialen draagt), wordt het wel heel moeilijk om als journalist nog objectiviteit te veinzen. Bovendien, waar jouw verslaggeving raakvlakken heeft met het politieke debat, word je natuurlijk zelf onderdeel van die verslaggeving, en zul je daar je handen van af moeten houden.

Een bepaalde tak van de journalistiek (vaak door niet-journalisten bedreven) is voor Peter nog steeds wel weggelegd: die van columnist. Als opinievormer wordt juist niet van je verwacht objectief te zijn. Maar goed, ik heb het tv-programma van Peter ook altijd meer als persoonlijke column beschouwd, maar bovenal als amusement en ondanks het verwarrende woord 'verslaggever' zeker niet als journalistiek :-)

Wat een onzin, John. PRDV is wel degelijk journalist en een hele goede ook. Iemand die tenminste nog echt kan speuren en waar nodig de waarheid boven water kan halen.

En daar gaat het om in de journalistiek. De waarheid boven water halen. Wat dat betreft is een rechtbankverslaggever nauwelijks journalist. Die schrijft alleen de verschillende versies van een waarheid maar op. Die van Justitie, die van de rechtbank, die van de verdachte, die van de advocaat. En die van de politie.

Een partij beginnen met je eigen initialen, denk je nu echt dat je partij duizend jaar zal bestaan. Wat hebben jullie toch van mensen te dwingen 6 a 12 maand verplicht sociaal werk te doen. Manu military.
Oh ja, heb je geen werk, ga dan maar in een zaaltje zitten, hele dag toekijken naar je gezicht en maar brainwashen. Wat leuk hé dat er werkloosheid is, zo zijn deze sukkelaars na een paar maand ook je troopers "voor sociale rechtvaardigheid"
Als je niet voldoende zetels zou hebben, zou je aand je eigen partij de brui geven, als je toch macht wil, waarom geen staatsgreep, en richt een repupliek op, gaat veel sneller en dan heb je alles....ook een paragraaf in de geschiedenisboeken.

Nadat Peter Regilio De Vries zijn stellingen op de pasgeverfde deur van het kamergebouw getimmerd heeft en daarmee Luther plagieert, kan de volgende stap niet uitblijven.
