In Skævinge Danmark on sunday at the Lhasa Apso Klubshow under judge Mrs Chantal Mery CH EL Minja´s Xivas won Best of Breed, congrats to Sylvia, Jette, Tove and Lia.

Saterday: National D´Elevage Club des Chiens Tibetains de France, 56 Lhasa Apsos entered under judge Mr Patrick Dewaele, CH EL Minja's Solar Kyi R.CACS and EL Minja's Mercedes 2nd in her class, EL Minja´s Yeshey CACS and won Best of Breed!

Sunday: The International CACIB Dogshow Angers 2100 dogs, the breed club held at this dogshow "Speciale de Race, for Tibetan breeds"; CH EL Minja's Solar Kyi won best male with CACS/CACIB. CH EL Minja´s Yeshey won best female and CACS/CACIB. EL Minja's Mercedes 1st in her class.

Solar won Best of Breed and Best in Group and Best in Show, the Lhasa Apso judge Mrs Linda Volarikova, the Best in Group judge Mr Roger Barenne, and the Best in Show judge was Mr Arrue Pinto Jose-Luis.

In Norway, CH EL Minja´s Xivas won his Norwegian and Nordic Champion titles with Best of Breed and Group 4 winner.
In the USA at the Colorado Lhasa Apso Specialty Club, NuSeng's Mustang "Sally" Singdu won 3 point major and her AKC Champion title, at the same dogshow Ch. NuSeng's Oh What a Gal Singdu "Aly" won Best of Breed (Sally Sister) and Ch. Sinkye Wicket of the Willow "Wicket" won best Veteran and Select winner (Sally and Alie's sire) all these 3 wonderful Lhasas are down from EL Minja´s breeding in the USA!!!

Multi Champion EL Minja´s Luna won at Talin on Saturday and Sunday CAC/CACIB´s and finished her Estonian Champion title, Luna´s son "Metis" won the CACIB in males.

Multi CH EL Minja´s Xivas won at the Lhasa Apso Clubshow in Danmark res. best male under judge P Rodrigues in morning show and Best male Best Of Sex under judge Mr. Adeheimer from Sweden in afternoon show.
 

In the USA Kaden won at Greeley Kennel Club (Colorado) Winners Dog & Best Of Winners under judge Mr J R Shoemaker.

In France at the wonderful Chateau Gontier was at the Dogshow a special for all Tibetan breeds, Multi Champion EL Minja´s Solar Kyi won his CACS and best male, Multi Champion EL Minja´s Jawaharlal Nehru aka Katie won her CACS and finished her France Champion Title as well as Best of Breed and Best in Group! The Lhasa Apso Breed was judged by breed specialist Mr F. Teppaz-Misson and group by Mrs C. Mery both from France.

At the Leeuwarden Easter International Dogshow, I had entered my Tibetan lhasa apso dogs Jo-Bo and Katie again, Jo-Bo won 2nd place in his class and Katie won best female with championship CAC/CACIB and the Best of Breed. Many Lhasas from several countries are entered at this Dogshow. The judge was Tibetan breed specialist Mrs Resi Rubbelke from Germany.

The Brabo Winner International Dogshow april 5 at Antwerp, the breed was judged by Mr Laurent Heineshe from Luxembourg, I had entered two of my Lhasa Apsos. Jo-Bo and Katie, Jo-Bo won best male with CAC/CACIB and Katie won best female with CAC/CACIB. Jo-Bo obtained the Best of Breed.

Afgelopen weekend was het Gala Hond van het Jaarshow in de Flint. Twee van mijn kampioenen waren geselekteerd voor rasgroep 9, men kan alleen op uitnodiging meedoen, omdat zij groeps prijzen hadden gewonnen in 2008. Lily en Candy beiden zijn grote kampioenen in Europa en Amerika. Candy behaalde de eervolle titel Res Hond van het Jaar !

Mijn lhasa apso rashond "Candy" is weer kampioen geworden, in Bleiswijk werd ze Nederlands kampioen en in Stuttgart Duits kampioen!! Zo jong en dan al meervoudig kampioen. Amerikaans, Nederlands en Duits en de titel Sieger Baden-Wurttemberg. Op de int. hondententoonstelling te Utrecht een enorm grote show die perfect georganiseerd wordt in de Veemarkt hallen, beetje koud maar toch heel ruim van opzet. Het ras wat ik heb is de Tibetaanse Lhasa Apso een heel erg oud ras wat destijds werd gefokt aan het hof van de Dalai Lama's en edelen.

Op deze wedstrijd had ik Katie en Candy bij, Kaltie won bij de jeugd hondjes de keurmeesteres mevr. W schrander vond haar de mooiste en kreeg 1ste met uitmuntend. In d ekampioensklas heb ik Candy uitgebracht en zijn werd beste , werd kampioen en ook nog beste van het ras.

In de ERE ring werd ik met Candy beste gezelschapshond en later 6de beste van de Tentoonstelling, er waren maar liefs 2507 stanboek honden ingeschreven uit Nederland en vele andere landen.

Saturday 27th Sept. At the Maastricht Int. Dogshow at MECC Halls, homebred junior female EL Minja's Jawaharlal Nehru (aka Katie) was shown for the THIRD time in the showring and Katie won 3 times back to back her classes with the qualification 1 excellent and JCAC, Katie obtained her Title "Dutch Junior Champion" as well Katie obtained the Res. Best female RCAC and my Candy obtained second in the Championclass with R.CACIB. the judge was Mr Hubentall from Norway,

De Lhasa Apso is een waakzame, zelfverzekerde vrolijke hond die met een ietwat hooghartige houding zonder angst iedereen tegemoet treedt. Het is geen allemansvriend , kan soms terughoudend zijn ten opzichte van vreemde mensen.
De Lhasa Apso mag geen angstige nerveuze hond zijn en is geen blaffer.
Het is belangrijk dat u om bovenstaande redenen bij een goede bekende fokker koopt die op de hoogte is van ons mooie Lhasa Apso ras, wat belangrijk is voor het behoudt van het ras de Lhasa Apso en naar rashondententoonstellingen gaat om zijn honden te laten zien aan keurmeesters.

Onderstaande foto is van mijn zelfgefokte reu Kampioen EL Minja's Thsang-Pa en zijn dochter kampioen EL Minja's Thamina de meest winnende Lhasa Apso van de afgelopen jaren De geschiedenis van Lhasa Apso van EL Minja's begint in 1970, in die dagen fokte ik Afghaanse windhonden en ontmoette mijn toekomstige echtgenoot Frank bij het bezoeken van hondententoonstellingen in Europa. Op een van mijn reizen naar Engeland, zag ik de Lhasa Apso hond en was onmiddellijk verliefd geworden op dit hondenras. Aangezien ik Afghaanse windhonden bezat in die tijd wat ook een Oosters ras zag ik dat de adel van de Lhasa Apso overeenkomsten heeft met de Afghaanse Windhonden.

Voor mij is de Lhasa Apso is een kleine Afghaanse windhond, en werkelijk zijn zij het ook. Ik geniet van de hond als ras, vooral de opwinding en het vermaak van het tentoonstellen van mijn honden. Maar het interessantste voor mij en mijn echtgenoot Frank is het fokken, de Lhasa Apso 's op zijn mooist en hoogste kwaliteit te fokken waarbij voor mij van groot belang is: het totaalbeeld van de hond, het prachtige typische hoofd, correcte bewegingen, gefundeerdheid in bouw en goede dichtheid en structuur van de vacht.
Mijn echtgenoot houdt zeer veel van de puppies van onze  Lhasa Apso  's en zij hebben hem ook zeer lief, omdat hij altijd met de puppies speelt. Ik kan u verzekeren dat de puppies hem heel goed kennen, zelfs wanneer zij zijn weggegaan naar hun nieuwe eigenaar. Als zij voor een bezoek terugkeren herinneren zij altijd mijn echtgenoot. Frank is een grote steun voor me, is hij een wetenschappelijk geneticus en goed opgeleid in veterinaire geneeskunde, wat mij heel veel helpt, hij is de medestichter van de Breedcouncil en recenter het medisch-centrum voor orthopedie genetica van de universiteit van Gent in België.
