Last Friday, the EU Counsil decided that the ban on landside-brought liquids with a combined contents of over a litre should be extended for another four years.
Why? Because they don't have anything to scan bottles and cans yet, despite the fact that they've had 3 years to think of something. But wait, it gets better; the Japanese already have such a device.
It's really brilliant; it has two scanning spots; one for pet bottles and one for cans. Just place either in the designated spot and wait while the device checks it out and gives a green light when things check out.
Really people, why do we feel the need to re-invent the wheel, every time we need to have something technical?
