Something fun in Osaka this summer:
Aqua Metropolis 2009. On the island between Yodoyabashi and Tenmabashi, special projects have been started; ranging from an exhibition of steampunk art to workshops and information on how to re-use and recycle plastic waste.
There were also sculptures,
more works of art,
and special shows at night. This is a projection on streams of water; very nice.
More fun and games: a game of table soccer against a mixed team of Japanese and other foreigners:
A very nice way to spend an afternoon and evening, and since it was just a 30 minute walk from the apartment, not very hard to get there.
Aqua Metropolis 2009 will be held until October 12, 2009.
