Today was Wednesday, a great day for a dip in a specific onsen.
Since Kagoshima is only a couple of hours away, we headed for Furusato Onsen, where we had a nice dip.
We were "lucky"; Sakurajima was spewing ashes all over the place, which made a mess in the streets of Kagoshima.
In any case, it's a nice reminder that you are in fact running around on a geological unstable chunk of land.

After our bath, we decided to have dinner at Ichi Ni San, a rather famous restaurant in Kagoshima. They serve a very good Shabu-meal, but also have other splendid dishes, such as Kuroge Wagyu steak.
I did something I rarely do; I splurged on food and dropped 5000 yen on the steak set, which was served with a plethora of side dishes. It's safe to say that this was the best steak I ever had.

It's now clear that good steaks aren't eaten with knife and fork, but with a straw, without having to put them through a blender first. :)
Dining at a place like Ichi Ni San isn't something you do in a hurry, so we missed our train, which meant that we would arrive about 45 minutes later, but this was by no means a problem, as we got ourselves a ride in the Pokémon shinkansen by taking Tsubame 66 instead of 64:

No specific plans for tomorrow. Yet.
Cheers, K.
