House guests

I have two house guests this week in the form of two long-haired beauties.
A mother and daughter, to be exact, and they arrived this afternoon. Both a mix of blonde and dark due to their Persian heritage, and are nuts for candy.
They also adore being rubbed by my feet (provided I'm wearing socks), wash themselves regularly right here in the living room while I'm right there with them and they even talk now and then.

Yes, I'm talking about cats, why do you ask? ;)

Nicknamed Swiffer and Dusty, they belong to two good friends of mine who are going on a week's vacation to France tomorrow, and they asked whether I would want to babysit the cats during that time.
The ladies are quite shy and have been mistreated at their former home, which is why they don't like hands but don't mind your feet rubbing them up and down, purring like there's no tomorrow.

Strangely enough, I don't seem to be allergic to them; I'm no match for pollen, but the cats are okay. Obviously, I tested this before I said yes. ;)
I'm curious on how this week will progress and whether they will keep away from my DVD rack or not.

Cheers, K.

Not my kind of cats, but I love how they -always- seem to be grumpy :D

They're aptly named too!

Yes, yes, they are. And because of their fear, they will hiss at about anything that approaches them too fast.

Took out the hoover yesterday, to get rid of the dots of hair they leave around the house. They are scared to death of that thing and are now seriously cross with me.
Let's see how long their tantrum lasts. :)
