Friday night, I went to
Yume Ichi Ya; an all-night Japanese film festival in Arnhem.
It was held at a small movie theatre called
Focus.
It was a small, cozy festival with about 110 attendees, Matijs and I being two of them.
We watched
Gake no Ue no Ponyo and
Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, both of which I alread have seen, but wanted to see again. Ponyo because of I watched it a year ago sans subtitles (but the film is simple enough to watch it without and still understand what's it about), and Evangelion because I didn't really pay attention a few months ago. :)
It was fun to attend, despite the hour: it started at 22:00 and continued until 7 in the morning. I called it a day around 3:00, seeing as I had to return home, about an hour's drive.
Great programme, guys; I hope to see you again next year at
Anime 2010.
