And for today, that's calling the emergency line.
I was driving on the motorway, when I noticed something in the middle of the road. Deciding I would not be happy if this thing would hit my car, I avoided it, only seeing what it exactly was when I drove past it. It turned out to be an aluminium step ladder, probably fell off a truck.
Luckily, it was lying straight in same direction as the road, right between the lanes, so it could be avoided easily, and I grabbed my phone to call 112.
They were quick on the draw, I must say; the lady on the phone immediately asked to whom she should connect me to, and I was on the phone with the police in the area in seconds.
Not too shabby. :)
Apparently, I wasn't the only one to call, so the conversation was over in no-time, but it was clear that they have some very well trained people sitting at those call centres.
I didn't see any accidents pop up on the net, so I reckon there's no harm done, save for a few elevated adrenaline levels. :)
Cheers, K.
