Almost two years ago, I became the proud owner of a Panasonic AX 100E HD-ready projector. One of the best models at an affordable price at the time, and it quickly became one of the best purchases I made in years.
However, a few weeks ago, I found that the projector would shut itself down after a few minutes. If I cut the power after the cooldown for a few seconds and switched it on again, it would work as normal, but it was annoying to say the least.

With my holiday approaching, I decided to ring Panasonic about it to get it fixed. Upon hearing my story, they immediately knew what was going on; it seems that this model has a problem with the iris, but not every projector encounters it. So they fixed me up with a shipment label for DHL, which came to pick it up the very next day.
I boarded my plane the same day.

When I returned, a large box was waiting for me at the office; Panasonic had sent my projector back with a new iris and the latest firmware.

I've been trying it out yesterday eveneing and I've got to say; very good service, Panasonic; I'm as happy as a clam. :)

Cheers, K.
