Well, it took a while (stamped on November 17, so a month and five days, to be exact), but the donkey on which the postcard my Mum sent was strapped, finally reached the Netherlands.

Mum writes:
"We're currently in Nicaragua, and will return to Costa Rica tomorrow. I'll try and post this there, because I'm unable to post it here.
We're in Granada now, a nice city near Lake Nicaragua. Nice people here, but poverty is everywhere, along with American tourists, despite the start of the holiday season being a week away.

The dry season lasts from January through May, therefore very warm. November means mostly cloudy, but it's still quite warm, with me dressing light."

Now, the postcard apparently received its stamp on November 17, but it wasn't marked until December 8, when it finally began its journey across the globe.
If TNT Post were to do that, there would be hell to pay, I'm sure.

Cheers, K.
