Today, Matijs and I went to the Tokyo Maritime Museum. Very cool museum with an extensive collection of many scale models and detailed explanations on how stuff works in the maritime world.

The museum is ship-shaped (excuse the poor pun), located near the Miraikan Museum and is quite high, which provides you with a fantastic view over Tokyo Bay.

The Bay also has a flight path over it for aeroplanes heading for Narita, so with a nice telephoto lens, you are almost able to count the rivets. ;)
Afterwards, we had dinner in Daiba (no sushi, but tonkatsu this time) and hopped on the Yurikamome to go to Tokyo Tower.
We estimated that our arrival there would be just before dusk, so that we would be able to make some beautiful pictures of Tokyo during nightfall.

Right on the mark; a stunning view from an altitude of 250 meters at the special observation deck was well worth it.

Tokyo Tower at night.
After Tokyo Tower, we grabbed dessert at the crépe shop right outside the tower (tasty) and went for a few beers. At first, we wanted to visit a beer garden we spotted on the way to TT, but right when we got there, it was closing, so we went to an Izakaya; a Japanese bar serving beer and all sorts of small things to eat. Very enjoyable.
Cheers, K.
