My roommate is a very nice guy, and he's been with us to Japan before. However, he snores like a freakin' lumberjack. =_=
I've been know to snore, but he takes the cake.
I also have a bit of a jet lag, I slept on the plane for about 6 hours in all and I mistakenly had a vitamin drink which held more than a few vitamins, so I didn't really catch much sleep last night; about 4 hours or so.

However, If I make it through the day, I should be able to go out like a light tonight.

Dinner yesterday was OK; Ruud and I decided on a bowl of ramen with a side order of gyouza. A good meal for about €5.
We also discovered a few supermarkets.

Today and tomorrow, I'll hang around in Tokyo, since my Rail Pass isn't valid yet (it will be the day after tomorrow). I've never been to the Oedo museum, so I'll head down there to soak up some Japanese history.
Tonight, we'll probably go for dinner at Fugetsu over at Yodobashi Akiba; it's been too long since I had okonomiyaki.

Cheers, K.

Wheee, we made it once again. A little stress at first, since the car we were driving in, broke down about 20 minutes from the airport, and we had to call the auto club for the car and a taxi for me.

I later heard that it blew a gasket due to overheating, and as a result, the car is totalled.
Yes, totalled.

You see, fixing this is not easy, and thus will set you back around €800. Since the car's purchase price lies somewhere around €300, you can safely say it's not worth it; just go and find another car. :)

I intended to be at Schiphol around 16:00~16:30, but ultimately met with my fellow travellers. All of my fellow travellers? No, because one of them mistakenly thought he had to fly on Friday instead of Thursday, so he missed his flight.
Obviously, we made quite some effort to contact him, but since he was the only one who didn't leave his cell phone number with me, there is only so much you can do.

Anyway, last I heard is that he tried to come in contact with the people at JALPAK, so I hope he's able to catch Friday's flight; I'll find out tomorrow tonight.

We arrived at Narita well on time, sailed through Immigrations and Customs quite smoothly and picking up the Rail Passes also went well, so we would be able to catch an early train.
Unfortunately, one of the guys left his MP3-player on the plane and had to go to the Lost and Found-department to get it. Unfortunately, the device wasn't there yet and filling out the contact form so they could ring us the moment they found it, took some time as well.

As a result, we missed our train (but he managed to pick up his player after all), resulting in arriving at Takadanobaba around 18:30 instead of the projected 17:45. Despite that, the check-in went well and we were able to finally get to our rooms, where I'm writing this after a good shower.

Well, time for a bite to eat; I hear there are quite a few restaurants close by.

Cheers, K.
