Last Sunday, I heard a lot of noise coming from the living room; the battery of the UPS powering my projector decided to go south and take the UPS itself with it. Fortunately, the projector was powered off, so no damage there as far as I can see, but the UPS itself ran a little hot, so unplugging it was the only correct course of action, and now it's kind of an ex-UPS, so to speak.

Oh well, it didn't really come as a surprise; must have had the thing for a good ten years now, but it's unexpected to say the least. To add insult to injury; this is the second UPS in my home in a short period of time that has gone to meet its maker.
They were both old, so I refuse to believe there's something wrong with my grid, but it's unpleasant nonetheless.

Now to find me a new one, which would be a rather easy task if the shops around here would have had one.
I guess I'll have to get one online then.

Cheers, K.
