Well, apparently one idiot would; some schmuck nicked my mum's bio-bin yesterday.
She's currently away on a holiday, and I tend to her home, watering the plants, taking out the trash and all that jazz.
Yesterday was bio-bin day, which means that you need to put the brown bin out for the trash guys to empty. When I returned from work in the evening, the bin was gone.
So mum, if you read this; I guess you'll have to apply for a new one, sorry.

This's happened to us a few times as well... You could try and search around a little first.
* Did the garbagemen put it back in the wrong spot? Maybe it's still somewhere in the street.
* Did one of the neighbors take two bins, knowing that your mom's on a holiday? Check around the street to see if one house has two bins. If one of them is clearly your mom's, just take it back.
* Highly unlikely, but it happened to us: did the bin fall into the garbage truck? :D

Well, I did take a look around to check, and I'm having a hard time believing that one of the neighbours would have it.
Add that to the fact that mum already has been gone for four weeks (she's starting on her last week in Greece on Monday) and that bio-bins do not hop to the sidewalk by themselves, therefor logic would predict that someone just took it for whatever reason. :)
