Today, Niels and I have been looking into where to sleep in Tokyo come August. We are pretty determined on the arrangements in Osaka and Hakata, but it's rather hard to decide where to stay in Tokyo.
You see, the organisation we use has a multitude of apartments all over Japan, and at least 10 locations in Tokyo alone. Some are nearby all the major areas and thus expensive, others are quite cheap but take forever to reach.
If you have a habit of catching the last train home (hey, they all run on time, so chances of you missing your connection are slim to none), that can pose a problem, as I'm not one to haul an expensive cab to get my ass from Shinagawa to Ikebukuro, for instance.
I have better plans for my money. ;)
Let's see what it will be.
Cheers, K.

Hi Kaj,
It's more a problem of OMFG WTF 22 people @_@ are you out of your F'IN mind to want them all in 1 apartment building @_@:;;;;;;;;;;;;
Because the last Shinkansen that we could take coming in to Tokyo arrives before midnight and the subway won't stop till about 1-ish.
So getting home is no problem. The problem will be: Where can they get that many apartments for us in August at the same location.
Requests are now with the managers of buildings all over Tokyo.
Luckily we get to req. 4 months in advance instead of 3 to beat the steadily increasing number of foreigners that want to use their services.
