Japan Super Slam - August 2008

As I said earlier today; the next holiday has been planned. \o/

I will fly to Tokyo on July 31 with a small group, the rest will join us a day later, due to a shortage of seats on the flight of August 1.
A large part of this group will go to Korea as well, but I decided I wanted to stay in Japan during that time. Korea is probably very beautiful, but my co-travellers will only go for four days, which is too short for me.

In 2006, I tried to see something of Hokkaido in three days, an effort I failed miserably in, and I only got to see Wakkanai and Sapporo for a limited period of time, so I didn't get to see the majority of the island.

I'm afraid that going to Korea just for a few days will leave me with a minimal impression, and a large dent in my budget to answer for it, which is just a waste. So I'm going to really concentrate on Japan for 24 days.
I'm not planning to go to Hokkaido in August just yet, but hey; who knows. :)

At this moment, the schedule is 8 days in Tokyo, 7 days in Osaka and 9 days in Hakata, which covers two of the four main islands. Now to see which cities I will visit, which festivals to attend (apart from the fireworks festival in Ito) and what other fun stuff to do.

Cheers, K.
