As I said earlier today; the next holiday has been planned. \o/

I will fly to Tokyo on July 31 with a small group, the rest will join us a day later, due to a shortage of seats on the flight of August 1.
A large part of this group will go to Korea as well, but I decided I wanted to stay in Japan during that time. Korea is probably very beautiful, but my co-travellers will only go for four days, which is too short for me.

In 2006, I tried to see something of Hokkaido in three days, an effort I failed miserably in, and I only got to see Wakkanai and Sapporo for a limited period of time, so I didn't get to see the majority of the island.

I'm afraid that going to Korea just for a few days will leave me with a minimal impression, and a large dent in my budget to answer for it, which is just a waste. So I'm going to really concentrate on Japan for 24 days.
I'm not planning to go to Hokkaido in August just yet, but hey; who knows. :)

At this moment, the schedule is 8 days in Tokyo, 7 days in Osaka and 9 days in Hakata, which covers two of the four main islands. Now to see which cities I will visit, which festivals to attend (apart from the fireworks festival in Ito) and what other fun stuff to do.

Cheers, K.

It has been rather quiet over here because of my rather tight schedule and lots of overtime recently.
Heaps of things to do at work, and my spare time is primarily used to recharge.

The Easter week-end was a welcome change of pace; an extra day to get back on my feet and to get some stuff done in the house.

It kills me, but I'm also thinking of skipping being a tech at this year's Freedom Festival on May 5. It's right after Anime 2008, and while I don't have to do much for May 5 beforehand, it's something I have to take some spare time for.

Add that up to my current state of semi-permanent tiredness, and you just know something has got to give.

Fortunately, there is light at the end; a new colleague is probably joining us who will take some of the daily tasks off my hands (but as long as he hasn't signed and stays with us, I won't celebrate just yet), which enables me to get some spare time back from the clutches of overtime. :)

Apart from that, I don't really have much to say at the moment, as a great part of my daily life currently revolves around work.

Something positive; I will be returning to Japan in August; more on that later.
And yes, I know, I have something to finish, like posting pictures.
I also have several small projects running, including something ambitious and electronic.

Cheers, K.
