And to top it off, I just spoke to my Mom; apparently, the nengajou are in! Took them long enough; about 9 days compared to the parcel I sent, which took only 4 days.
At least I can go to the dinner we are going to have with the class tomorrow evening in Utrecht without looking utterly stupid. ;) And I also bought some omiyage, must not forget to bring those as well.
Cheers, K.
Some 30 minutes ago, an old friend I didn't see for 15 months just came over (last time we saw each other face to face was in the autumn of 2006, I believe), just to say hi. Unfortunately, I'm in the middle of remodelling my living room, so space was limited, but we had a small chat about how life has been and the things we do, stuff like that.
Having friends is nice, and a slumbering friendship isn't that bad, just as long as you keep in touch one way or another.
Cheers, K.
Why the hell do people keep on calling a LCD/DLP/CRT projector a "beamer"?
Is it because a beam of light exits the main lens? Nothing new here; even the early "magic lanterns" spewed out a beam of light, and those were called projectors too.
Does BMW make projectors? Not that I know of, they just make ugly cars.
Can't remember IBM making them as well.
Mystery desu.
Oh foo. It's a projector, people! Start calling it by its correct name.
Cheers, K.
