I went for some pictures to Cosmosquare today; Osaka WTC is located there, and in a country with an observatory in just about every tall building, the WTC is no exception.
A mere 800 yen and a minute or so later, I was at the observatory of this building:

Which provides you with the following view:

I got to know my camera a little better as well up there.

After a shot or 30, I decided to have lunch and head over to Umeda. You see, there's not really much to see at Cosmosquare to cover an entire day, and I wanted to do something about my
empty wrist. So I went to Yodobashi Camera with a list of models I liked and kind of liked and checked them out on specifications, pricing and looks.
The watchyou see on the left is the winner. :)
Apart from the standard functions, this watch has a solar panel around the display and a receiver capable of receiving and decoding the 5 time code transmitters all over the world (see Wikipedia for more information on
radio clocks), so I always carry the corect time with me.
Its price is just about the same as it would be at home, but the reason I bought it here in Japan is because of the fact that Casio doesn't sell certain models back home, so I had to shop for it over here.
I'm not one for large analogue faceplates, so I'm quite happy with this new watch.
Back at the apartment, we decided to grab dinner at Fugetsu and head over to the Umeda Sky Building (USB) for some night shots.
However, Fugetsu was quite loaded with customers and potential customers, so we walked towards the USB. 700 yen and a few minutes later, we were on the roof, just about freezing our butts off. USB is a wonderful site for night shots, but it's more ejoyable during summer.
Strong gusts of wind made it nearly impossible to get some decent pictures, so I also made a few from a window, one storey below:

This is just a quick snap, by the way.
When we were done (around 21:00), we went back to the Dining floor of Yodobashi Camera to try our luck at Fugetsu once again, and this time, we got a table in only 15 minutes.
Okonomiyaki at Fugetsu is just the best; you will stuff yourself for just €7~8, and add another €5 for a beer or two.
Tomorrow will be New Year's day, so that means some shopping (beer, snacks) and some preparations for New Year's eve.
Cheers, K.
