My wristwatch died on me a couple of weeks ago; the battery finally went south and given that I had this one for over ten years, doing basically everything with it (including swimming, bathing and stuff), the insides turned out to be shot as well.
So now I'm looking for a new one, but damn, it's hard to find something fitting my tastes without spending several hundreds of Euros.

I stopped by at a jewellery shop this afternoon, only to find these big-ass watches which look kind of like having Big Ben strapped onto your wrist. I'm aware of the fact that those large watches are totally in fashion these days, but I'm not one for a watch which pretty much can double as a serving tray. "Here's your order, Ma'am. Oh, look at the time."

Anyway, since I never been one for analogue faceplates and do like extra functions such as a stopwatch, count down timer and world time, I have to look in the digital department.
Heading in the direction of Casio, I must say they're kind of "meh" these days. Not really innovative, standard fare bands and if you do want something fancy, your bank account will weep.

Lorus doesn't have anything new to offer, and frankly, I didn't like their designs back then either.
It's really hard to shop if you're someone like me, I'll tell you that.
If this keeps up, I'll probably end up buying one in Japan or something.

Cheers, K.
