Despite the great variety of tasty things to eat in our company's cafetaria, my colleagues and I usually have lunch outside the office on Friday. You see, Friday means Fish day at our cafetaria, and while I like fish, I don't really fancy what's being served there on Fridays.
You see, it's usually something in the line of herring, kibbeling, and a soup which tastes like fish, but doesn't taste really good.
Now I, unlike my colleagues, like fish; herring is a favourite of mine, and so is mackerel, octopus, salmon and crab. Unfortunately, the herring served inside has lots of bones, and I'm not very fond of having fishbones sticking in my throat.
So, we eat out.
There are a few shops and a supermarket in the vicinity, along with a sandwich shop and a Burger King, and since we usually don't have much time, we often end up there.
As you may have heard, BK is known as a type of fast food restaurant. A pity they don't really live up to the name; it took 12 minutes for them to serve my menu, and 17 minutes to get my colleague his chickenburger, although numerous customers after us got their chickenburgers within minutes.
To make matters worse; there is little you can do about it, other than avoid letting it cool any further.
Complaining doesn't really help either; all that'll get you is a free meal, but what good does that do?
Cheers, K.
