Since my ribs keep acting up, and suspecting a loose or broken bone after feeling things move, I finally took some time to visit the doctor.

Just to indicate on how often I see my physician: his first remark was: "Long time no see." on which I answered: "Well, I don't want to make a habit out of it." Last time when I visited him, I made a remark on the supposedly new furniture in the waiting room, on which he replied that the last time he redecorated the place was three years ago. ;)

The verdict after some prodding, listening and snooping around on my chest; nothing broken (he didn't hear any scraping noises, or so he said), just heavily bruised, and I would be stuck with it for at least another month.
Now that's a relief. (well, it sucks having to deal with this for another while, but I'm relieved not having to watch out for things not healing properly.)

I must say that it doesn't really hurt as much compared to a week ago; I just have to take care not to lift heavy things, not to exert myself, avoid running into doors and try not to sneeze. Sneezing hurts like hell, especially when you're like me and your sneezes can be heard on the other side of town.
On the topic of lifting things: we have an intern at the offic who is now my personal assistant when it comes to manual labour. ;)
As for my private life; I learn a new position to sleep in almost every night.

Cheers, K.
