When I was young, I had a mild interest in the space program and space itself. While this interest has died out, I still find the vast infinity of space fascinating.
One can feel quite small when thinking about space and the fact that we are a mere spec of dust, compared to the enormeous creations that inhabit our universe.
Today, I came across the
Astronomy Picture of the Day over at NASA, because of a link to
this combination of fireworks, lightning and a comet which happened to pass by at that time.
The site contains some awesome pictures; it's a pity the resolution isn't very high, so if you have a large screen like me, it's not really usable as wallpaper material.
Stunning, nonetheless.
Cheers, K.
