I went to see the maiden concert of a band called "Bucket on Wheels" yesterday; Dominic, a friend of mine, has been playing guitar for some 5 years now, and he joined a band 6 months ago.
They've been practising since then, and it showed; it really sounded fantastic. Good chemistry, good songs (both originals and covers) and no hesitations.

The band has two singers, one male and one female. Where the girl sounded good, and can sound even better after a few extra lessons, the guy needs to take lessons or shut up and stick to his bass. His singing sounded more like screaming, and while he plays a mean bass, singing is not his forté.

Dom's guitar playing was splendid; he was all over the place in a positive way, and really got it on. A pity his amplifier decided to break down at the beginning of the final set, but they managed to fix the problem and play the final set after a short repair session.

It was also very cool to see some other friends again: Mick, Glynn, Jan; thank you for a splendid evening. We'll keep in touch.

Regards, K
