I've set myself some goals for this trip; aside from seeing some of the spots I've been wanting to see for a long time (and I'm succeeding at that just beautifully) and trying to get on Japanese TV, adding some to my collection of Satoshi Urushihara-books, adding some Cowboy Bebop-soundtracks to my CD-collection (both as many as I can find at a reasonable price) are on that list as well.
Today, I succeeded in purchasing some Urushihara-books and three CB-soundtracks. (and some other stuff, but that's not all for me)
More on Urushihara later; after running around in DenDen Town for a couple of hours, Robert and I decided it was time for dinner, so we went to
Oude Kaas, to have a chat with chef Tom and have a pannenkoek.
The Oude Kaas staff:

Tom is the one standing on the right, with his staff on the left.
Tom lived in the Netherlands for almost fourteen years before returning to Osaka, 11 years ago. He liked the Dutch food so much that he decided to start a restaurant, serving Dutch specialities.
We had Vlammetjes and Bitterballen as a starter, and moved on to a Pannenkoek with old cheese, bacon and onion.
We had a Grolsch beer along with it, and a Heineken to finish it.
Both imported, I found the Heineken to be better than the (bottled) Grolsch, but that might have something to do with the fact that Grolsch might have a different recipe for foreign countries, or otherwise, our tastebuds have grown too accustomed to Asahi Super Dry. ;)
Anyway, the food tasted excellent, and we had a nice chat in Dutch with Tom and in Japanese with his staff.
Tomorrow, we head on to Nagoya. Osaka will once again, be missed.
Cheers, K.
