I was discussing broadband internet connections with a Belgian friend of mine the other day; apparently, due to the monopoly the Belgian Government has on the communication infrastructure, you can only get a 4Mbps internet connection with a 30GB datalimit, and you'll have to pay a ridicoulous amount of money for that.
Compared to what the Dutch providers are providing , it's already a total rip-off, but you ain't seen nothin' yet...
In Japan, J-COM and HFC present a
160Mbps internet connection, for the measly sum of ¥6300 (that's just over €40,-) a month...
The only "downside" is your upload; a mere 10MBps, and I can't find anything about a data limit or something like that.
Right, I think I have to inform another friend of mine, who's complaining about the slow response of his 20Mbps-connection...
Cheers, K.
