Well, I finally have a new DVD-player that fits my needs; the
Pioneer DV-696AV. And it plays SACD to boot! Not that I desperately needed that, but it's a nice extra to play around with.
I returned to the shop today, explained the problem and was offered this one with a heavy discount, so I decided to take it. :)
After paying a little extra and a 5 minute wait, the player was mine.
Fixed my uncle's amplifier as well today, and beat my grandfather two out of three with a few games of chess. Today was fruitful. ;)
