Sort of, 'cause there is none.
Along with some last minute groceries, I decided to rummage through some audio shops for a new DVD-player. Couldn't find anything suitable, so I'll check Utrecht tomorrow. As for the shops around here; it kind of sucks, but most of the salesdroids I encountered were pretty honest and knowledgeable, except for the Expert-droid in a nearby town; when I asked for a player that can be switched to region free-mode, he practically shood me out of the shop, as if I just announced a plan to rob the shop or something.
So whatever I decide to purchase in the future; they won't get anything of my business.
Well, this means I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow; first make a stop in Utrecht, check out some of the stores there (I'm told Utrecht has a shopping Sunday tomorrow, with the holidays and all), go and visit my grandmother, drive to my Mum's and stay the night, as we will be visiting my aunt and uncle on Christmas Day.
I don't have anything planned for Boxing Day, and I plan to keep it that way. ;)
(Christmas)Cheers, K.

I'm still happy with my Yamaha S550 (latest revision: S559). It a bit slow with loading and mp3 playback is flawed, but it has S-video out and plays DVD's and recordables just fine. Can be made regionfree with the remote.
Doesn't have buildin DTS decoding, but this is normaly handled by the receiver. This is only a problem when directly connected to a tv, but even than only when you have a DVD with just a DTS soundtrack and these are quite rare. Not much use in playing DTS sound over tvspeakers anyway.

If the DVD-player can't put a DTS-stream on its output, the receiver isn't able to decode anything.
I'm not looking for a player that can split the signal in 6 analogue channels, I just want it to put the stream on the digital output. I'll let the receiver handle the decoding and splitting. ;)
I'll look into the Yamaha; thanks.

Ah, I get it. In that case there's no problem with Yamaha: outputs DTS digitally via optical or coax. Even the Daytek player I gave my parents can output DTS digitally. S-video output and regionfree are less frequently present in players I think.
