I was pleasantly surprised today, as I got an e-mail from the
Pioneer support desk. You see, I have a Pioneer CLD-950 Laserdisc player (got it from a very good friend of mine a few years ago), and while I'm perfectly capable of putting a laserdisc in the player and hitting Play, I wanted to know more about it.
So I sent them an e-mail, asking them whether they could provide me with some information, maybe sell me a manual, or point me in the right direction. I got an 8 meg file in the mail, containing the full 90-page manual for my model. :)
That's service, and I love them for it.
