According to a Dutch news site, Microsoft makes its next move; in their still-failing efforts to get Japanese customers playing on their (very costly) piece of gaming equipment, they made a stunning announcement: the Core System-version will be hitting Japanese shops for about €200 MSRP.
That's €100 cheaper compared to Europe.

No, I'm not there yet.

I discovered last month that a Premium System is going to set you back around €250, and Xboxic.com made note of that as well.
It puzzles me as of why someone would fork out €200 for a (basically) crippled game system, since the extra's that make a Premium System will set them back at least another €200.
The still very well-selling PlayStation 2 costs only €100~150 (used and new), has heaps of cool and exciting software of the kind that appeals to the Japanese and comes from Sony; a Japanese company.
I do realise that that very same Sony practically dug its own grave when they announced another delay for their PlayStation 3, but this move isn't going to cut Microsoft's mustard, if you ask me.

Cheers, K.
