Tokyo. Oh how I missed this city. :)
Tsukiji Wholesale Market was very special. I had set my alarm for 4:30, in order to get the first subway train to Tsukiji, in which I succeeded. \o/
Unfortunately, the guy I had an appointment with was late, so I started to explore the wholesale market by myself, hoping I would run into them while we're there, and so we did.
They say you'll never eat somewhere or something again once you know how the food is handled or prepared, and I guess this goes for many people after seeing something like Tsukiji. However, when you keep in mind that you rarely get ill from food, provided it's well-prepared, why should you worry about your deep-frozen tuna being handled and cut into smaller chunks by a couple of guys using a band saw at the wholesale market?
So we went and had some excellent sushi after our visit there. ;)
Yesterday, I went to Comiket, along with two friends of mine.
Comiket is the largest comic market in the world, with an ample supply of doujinshi (fan-made comics, games, music) and a commercial area where companies show their plans and new stuff. Very cool, but very crowded. We met some interesting people as well.
I visited Akihabara afterwards, and saw some good stuff.
Got to go now; Niels and I have a date with Takatoshi Chino, for a voice recording session for a The Third anime episode and lunch.
Cheers, K.
