Well, as far as you can speak of main land... ^_^;;
Today, I went to Wakkanai; a small city in the north of Hokkaido. Unfortunately, the weather was quite cloudy today, so the pictures aren't really super sunny or anything.
The trip to Wakkanai took just under five hours. When we got there, the people at the Tourist Office told us that the bus for the Northermost Point would leave in a couple of minutes, so we went there, and sure enough; we (I went along with Geraldine, one of the people who joined us on this trip) were just in time for what turned out to be a 44km/45 minute bus ride.
Quite some things to see there, and we only got about half an hour before the bus returned to Wakkanai again, otherwise we would miss our train back to Sapporo. @_@
I had my picture taken at one of the monuments.
Don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow; I think I'll check out a local onsen. Too bad we're moving house to Tokyo the day after tomorrow; Hokkaido looks great.
Cheers, K.
