Eight days and counting

Well, this is it; just eight days to go towards another hopefully very interesting journey through Japan.
This is my fourth trip, and while people call me crazy ("Why do you need to go there again?" "Haven't you seen enough already?" "You've been there three times now; haven't you lived your dream yet?"), these people seem to forget that I can ask them the very same about their holiday plans (how many times do you need to see the south of France? indeed, probably as many times as I need to see Japan).
You see, my mum tends to visit Greece every year, and I'm not complaining about that, am I? She loves the country to bits, as Greece has many many islands to discover, many of them aren't even discovered by tourists!

As for Japan; the country is about 3000km in length and stretches in longitude from nothern to southern Europe, not counting Okinawa and the smaller islands. It takes you just over 25 hours to get from Wakanai in the north to Kagoshima in the south by public transport, but you don't see a thing. ;)

I'm hoping to see many things, visit many cities and do various activities I didn't saw, visited or did on earlier trips, and with starting out in Hokkaido, I could do worse. I hear they have some great onsen up north, so I'll be sure to take a dip somewhere.

I'm currently rigging my laptop with some necessary software to keep in touch with my relatives, loading my LifeDrive with ebooks and burning some music onto CDs, in case my Personal Entertainment System breaks down.
It happened before, and I'm sure it will happen again. ;)

Well, got to go; I'm having some guests over here tomorrow and Saturday. Should be fun.

Cheers, K.
