Vodafone is launching in May a smartphone that runs on Android 2.1, supports the 360 service and will only 150 euros cost. The smartphone, named Vodafone 845, also has a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 2.8-inch QVGA screen.

Vodafone intends to launch the smartphone not aonly with a small price but it also supports very interesting specifications. The Dutch site AllAboutPhones.nl obtained information that shows a specsheets of the device with Android 2.1., a resistive 2.8-inch QVGA screen and will have 512MB internal memory. Other specifications are UMTS and HSDPA, WiFi, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and an accelerometer. Finally, the sheet that of device shows a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 1200mAh battery.

The device, according to the information provided, will be targetted to open up the prepaid market with mobile Internet. Rumor goes that the device with be introduced with a 1GB free databundle that is primarily for the Vodafone 360 service. This will be the first Android phone alongside the HTC Legend, that will support the Vodafone 360 service on Android. Our source knows to report that the name is not final of the unit and they still could change. Also rumors go that the device is manufactured by Huawei and will carry the name Joy.
