De excentrieke Amerikaanse zanger Willy DeVille overleed vorig jaar op 7 augustus. Van de fans van de zangers komen er opvallend veel uit Nederland. Niet voor niks zit de internationale fanclub van de zanger in Zwolle. Om nog eens stil te staan bij de zanger heeft de fanclub een herdenkingsconcert georganiseerd. Zaterdag wordt de Memorial Night voor Willy DeVille gehouden in De Lantaarn in Hellendoorn. Tijdens de avond treden bands op die muziek van Willy DeVille spelen en ’s middags wordt een fanclubbijeenkomst gehouden. Tijdens Het Overijssels Hart wasvoorzitter Van Brug van de fanclub te gast. Dat gesprek is hieronder terug te luisteren.
