Kankerpatiënten die behandeld worden met chemokuren komen vaak veel aan. Dat heeft vooral te maken met medicijnen tegen misselijkheid die de eetlust bevorderen. Vaak verdwijnen die kilo’s vanzelf weer, maar dat geldt voor lang niet iedereen. Om mensen te helpen die daar moeite mee hebben heeft de Nije Stichting in Hengelo speciaal voor die groep een afslankprogramma ontwikkeld. De stichting zet zich op allerlei manieren in voor kankerpatiënten en ex-kankerpatiënten. Oprichter Debby Nijenhuis van de stichting is zelf ex-kankerpatiënt en test het afslankprogramma nu uit. Ze was te gast tijdens Het Overijssels Hart. Dat interview is hieronder te horen.
