De Route 66 in Amerika op een motor rijden wordt natuurlijk vaker gedaan, maar op een Solex is wel even wat anders. Een Solex kan 25 kilometer per uur en de Route 66 is vijfduizend kilometer lang. Je doet er dus 200 uur over om de route te rijden. Twintig leden van Solexclub de Tjop Tjoppers uit Tuk gaan het doen. De club bestaat tien jaar en viert dat met de jubileumrit. Het wordt een bijzondere onderneming. Deze week vertrekken ze naar Amerika. Tijdens Het Overijsels Hart was een aantal leden van de Solexclub te gast. Dat interview is hieronder te horen.
