Terwijl scouts vanuit de hele wereld de laatste weken in Engeland waren voor de Wereld Jamboree 2007, waren veertien scouts uit Losser in Kyrgyzstan. Dat is een arm Aziatisch land dat grenst aan China. Aan de reis ging anderhalf jaar voorbereiding vooraf. Via een familie in Losser die contacten heeft met Kyrgyzstan besloot de Teylersgroep Scouting in actie te komen voor het land. Eerst door geld in te zamelen, maar daarna door zelf naar het land te gaan, dankzij subsidies. Vlak voor de terugreis naar Nederland belde ik tijdens Het Overijssels Hart met begeleider Vorgers van de scouts vanuit Kyrgyzstan. Dat gesprek is hieronder terug te luisteren.
