I bought a house today!

I bought *the* house today! It will be my home! I did it! I'm very excited about it! I'm proud of myself!

New house is close-by where I live now, on the pretty little quiet square; it's small but cute; it's on the 2nd floor; it has 3 rooms: two sleeping rooms and a living room (but I will change their functions after a while) ; there's a nice view and a lot of light in the living room; kitchen and bathroom are simple but functional; there's even a balcony. It is modest, but MINE!

At least, it might become mine, if all the next steps work out. This is one step in the direction in which I want to go. It deserves a small celebration - a virtual glass of "champagne" on my blog ;-))

It took me two months to find the right one: suitable according to many many criteria, and affordable. I've learned a lot during this process. There were many decisions that I had to take, lot of discussions, agreements, compromises; long-term planning; evaluation of what is important to me, why, and how much... And I got help and support from many people -- THANKS! you know who you are. Now it will take two more months till I can move in. But this is still according to the schedule...

Current situation is: the seller accepted my offer, and if I get the mortgage from the bank, then I will really buy the house. So, in the next two months there are many more things to be arranged: finances and administration and legal things and the building/adjustments and the actual move... I will be very busy with all of that. It's scary, but also very interesting, and challenging. I love it!

Proper celebrations will follow... after each successful step. Watch this space.
